V0.69: losing control over tool temp

While running V0.69 (duet branch) I hit the problem that I can only set tool temperature (via web-interface) a few times and afterwards setting the temperature doesn't have an effect anymore. It was no issue in earlier versions V0.60 and V0.64

current workaround is restarting the duet after each action
