Doesnt respond to M208?

On my reprappro i have been trying to get the correct firmware limitations, but doesnt seem to respond to M208 at all. Of course it may be fixed in later versions than mine, dont see anything in the issues nor in git log |grep -i M208 of either this and ErikZalm/Marlin

Is it me misunderstanding M208? How do i set the firmware movement limits otherwise?

'Referenced' sounds so official,i just linked here for completeness.. The refereced issue doesnt look like the same issue as this.
