Question about typescript support / adding in typescript support

I'm planning to work on a fork of this project and was planning to convert the project from JS to Typescript. wondering if you guys would be open to me contributing that conversion directly back to the repo?

Open to it! Especially if it simplifies the codebase.

At the very least we can add a link to your TypeScript version in the README.
