Automating bluetooth settings and force-stopping apps?

Hello, not sure if this is the best place to ask this.

My problem is that each time I connect my bluetooth headphones, I have to:

1. Manually go into Android sound settings and select a certain bitrate and audio quality
2. Force-stop my equalizer app and start it up again

This ritual takes about 20s to do, otherwise the bluetooth sound quality is bad and the equalizer doesn't work right.

As far as I can tell, this app is my best chance at automating this, but I haven't found much documentation. Is there some way to do this, or another alternative? I am rooted, by the way.
