I am not familiar with those, maybe try exporting them to GPX there is a PR at https://github.com/remisalmon/Strava-local-heatmap/pull/16 that is adding support for non-Strava GPX files.

Thanks for opening this PR, `outputs.files_renamed` works as expected for me. Would be great to see this merged.

I cannot reproduce your issue with those GPX files. What version of gpxpy are you using?
