default backend settings raises excpetion on it's own for !honeybadger clients

i'd say having Raiser as default would solve this issue at configuration.rb. regards

Good point. Having Honeybadger as the default backend is probably a little too opinionated. The raiser backend isn't great because you can get into scenarios where it loops infinitely with the rack middleware. Maybe setting the defaullt to the Null or Logger implementation would be best.
