I get an entry in the logs about the "openstack" cloud provider being deprecated.

All in-tree providers will be removed on 1.21 release. As this module relies on RKE, let's wait to see the path they choose once in-tree support is dropped. https://github.com/rancher/rke/issues/1109 If RKE choose to drop the support too, we will have to work on the way to integrate the different external providers.
