Track file is not a valid media file

"Track file is not a valid media file" I am getting this error on multiple files, all of which are valid media files. Anyone know what the culprit is, or is there more information that is needed to diagnose?

I am seeing this on valid media files as well. File plays correctly in VLC.

Update:

Issue appeared to be due to a / (slash character) in the filename.
