Not creating Gitlab release

Hey and thank you for this awesome tool!

I want to use it for a monorepo on a self-hosted Gitlab instance. And made everything (tagging, version bumping, pushing) work - except the creation of the final release. I do not get an error. It says done, but without creating a release.

I can create releases through the Api and the UI, though.

Is there a way for me to get better debugging data?
