Describe the bug I'm trying to install Regolith 3.2 in Ubuntu 24.04 but after install and restart nothing happens so it's like Regolith is not starting. I've tried to manual change some of the regolith packages installed and some of them gives the following error but I'm not sure if it could be related.

regolith-session-wayland
Error: StringError { error: "No default value provided" }
Error: StringError { error: "No default value provided" }
> Updating already existing 'Regolith' profile
[SUCCESS] Reinstalled Regolith GNOME Terminal version 0.1.0 for the 'Regolith' profile!
Regolith is launching Sway with /etc/regolith/sway/config
libEGL fatal: DRI driver not from this Mesa build ('23.2.1-1ubuntu3.1~22.04.2' vs '24.0.5-1ubuntu1')

To Reproduce Install Regolith as explained here

Hi @edu-rossrobotics that last line might hint at a graphics driver issue. We have a newer beta (beta 2) you could try, but unaware of anything we've fixed or added in beta 1 that might specifically aderess your problem.

Same problem here. I had to update to 24.04 in an attempt to fix a mysterious system system freezing problem. I can install regolith-desktop via apt but it cannot be started. After trying to start the screen begun to changing from normal colour to purple-ish at random time intervals. Seems to be a graphic issue.

In my case, after several reboots I could select regolith in the bottom right corner of the regular ubuntu login page. After that, it's been working normally.

Not related to regolith but I'm experiencing a lots of graphics issues with ubuntu 24.04.

I had same problem. Sway wasn't starting. I opened regolith-session-wayland and found some info about missing xrescat.

sudo apt install xrescat

EDITED

I assumed this fixed my problems, but no. What I really did was moving .bashrc and .profile to backups. I have very old home directory and was experimenting with other distro. This probably broken regolith. So if you can't start sway session, then first check if smth in your files doesn't break it.
