Slack API no longer allowing creation of legacy tokens

Open quinncomendant opened this issue 5 years ago • 1 comments

Hello,

This is my first time attempting to set up a slack app, so forgive me if I'm off track or if this issue has been reported already.

When running slack-cli the first time, it asks to get an API token:

… To create and view your tokens, head over to:
https://api.slack.com/custom-integrations/legacy-tokens

When I access that URL, the page says, “Legacy token management: Tokens may no longer be created, but you can re-issue existing tokens here.”

So I understand that slack-cli requires a legacy token, but it's impossible to get one. 😒

Is there a plan to upgrade slack-cli to use the new Slack App tokens?

Hi @quinncomendant! Thanks for your comment. To explictly show that I am no longer working on this project I just put it in maintenance mode. (see README)
