Game drops less than 1 FPS when looking at cover recipe in JEI

Describe the bug

When looking up recipes in JEI, any time a cover or hollow cover recipe is visible, the game drops to sub 1 FPS

Experienced while playing ATM9 version 0.2.57, multiplayer, 12GB max memory, with optimised GC settings --minimal reproduction requirements not tested, might do later--

How can we reproduce this bug or crash?

1. In JEI, look up the usage for any block and scroll until a cover recipe comes up, or directly look up the recipe for a cover
2. watch as the game becomes nearly unresponsive
