[FEAT] add updateIdentity method to Auth Provider

Open pcfreak30 opened this issue 4 months ago • 7 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

The auth provider should be extended to support natively updating the username and email properties of an account. Both should be done since systems can have one, either, or both.

I currently have to use a useCustomMutation to do this and it would be nice to put it in the auth provider...

This should follow how useUpdatePassword works.

Hello @pcfreak30 thanks for the issue.

Maybe we could have something more generic, such as updateIdentity, since we already have `getIdentityz method.

This would be a nice addition to auth provider. Would you like to work on this one?

I think another can take on this task or the refine team can if they can get the bandwidth after refine 5.

Unfortunately, our hands are full with Refine AI right now. Yes, it’s not a very difficult task, but I don’t think we’ll be able to do it within the next 1–2 months. I’ll discuss this again in the first meeting with the core team.

@alicanerdurmaz check the github action wf's. stale issues arent' getting the wontfix tag removed after it gets a ping.

(edit: it did after this comment, but it should be after the 1st comment?)
