[Feature request] Integrate offline maps
Would make the app more useful in situations where tiles cannot be downloaded.
One I know of is maps.me API which requires maps.me to be installed.
There may be others as well.
I'll look into this and let you know.
BTW, Tiny Travel Tracker caches all tiles that you view, so if you plan on going somewhere while being offline, you can just view the area beforehand while online, and the tiles will be saved.
I didn't want to add preload functionality because I thought it would overburden OpenStreetMaps.
- Mozilla Stumbler (uses a fork of osmdroid)
- Openbmap Radiobeacon (uses the mapsforge format)
- Osmand (issue #22), but note that the LICENSE file mentions some non-free art.
Maybe many other apps from https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?page_id=0&fdcategory=Navigation

Negative.
Just tried again. And it does not on my (Samsung) Android 5.0.
How to reproduce:
- Enable internet
- Watch something on TTT (tiles are there)
- Disable internet
- Switch back to TTT and even before anything touched, tiles are gone.
However I would prefer #22 anyhow. I don't see a reason to have everything twice -- at least if you have OSMand already anyway. So as suggested in #22 already, an option to do so would be highly appreciated. :)
Another benefit would be to have a lot more details on the map. (Was kinda lost already ago in a big grey area just 2 minutes before.)
