disable decal rendering on certain surfaces
This feature can be very useful to prevent decals from showing where these should not be seen Like in this example below - cracks/leaks are visible on metal parts too. Ideally can be as some type of vshaderparam, or as material volume (less ideal ;)
Just thinking about this, have you tried using alpha material along with valpha 1
to achieve that, example:

in situations where I tried it's not any good, not only it creates unnecessary polygons but also AO is cut :/ maybe it's possible to have another combination of material volumes to prevent decal rendering? (like noclip+clip, or smth similar?)
