full backup/restore
Describe your suggested feature
The backup function does not back up extensions. It is a pain to reload them again after a settings restore on another device. The app data is stored in /data/data/com.lagradost.cloudstream3/ which makes it impossible to backup app data with an unrooted device using a shell backup/restore script. Could you make backups include everything or perhaps make the app data get stored in /sdcard/Android/data/com.lagradost.cloudstream3/ ?

The backup is only supposed to be the actual data of the app, not what you have installed
OK fair enough but when I restore settings on a fresh install, I have to redo the following options each time:
providers menu
provider languages - not restored preferred media - not restored
layout menu
hide video quality in search results - not restored
That shit is in the preference and not datastore, tldr: by design but may be fixable
So the backup data option backs up most of the preferences but not all of them and does not backup any installed extensions. This is by design and not a bug. Thank you for clarifying.
Just curious, how often are you restoring backups to fresh installs for this to be a issue for you.. Provider language can't be saved because it's based on the extensions you currently got installed, and installing extensions takes a few seconds tops, just use the megarepo
