Default download path incorrect on Fire TV

On Fire TV, the default download path of /storage/emulated/0/Download/Downloads does not work, thus things like backups do not work. On Fire TV I had to manually set this to content://com.android.providers.downloads.documents/tree/downloads in order for backups to work. What's odd is this directory already has backups in it so it seems like it used to work properly but doesn't anymore? The last time I know it worked was August 11.
