Loading subtitles from internet doesn't work

Open scrazzz opened this issue 3 years ago • 5 comments

Steps to reproduce

This is what I did:

  1. Search for a movie/TV show (eg, "breaking bad")
  2. Choose HDToday source for the movie/TV show.
  3. Choose a season (eg, season 3)
  4. Choose an episode (eg, episode 1)
  5. Choose Streamlare as source (by default it is Streamlare)
  6. Click on "Source" in the player settings
  7. Click "Load from internet" under the Subtitle section
  8. Choose any of the given results
  9. Click "Apply"

Expected behavior

The subtitle should be visible starting from where the video was left off.

Actual behavior

Subtitle didn't show up.

Other details

I tried loading subtitles from 3 different sources and none of them worked. I even tried syncing the subtitle thinking it would work, but no luck.

This issue is kind of similar to #31 but I don't know if they were loading subtitles from the provider directly or from the internet.

Hmm indexsubtitle does not work, but opensubtitles works on that episode. Just make sure you go back into sources and select the new subtitle file after you've pressed apply (it should be automatic, but I havent fixed) .

It doesn't work for me either, click load subtitles from internet then open that menu and didn't show any subtitles, seems like indexsubtitle doesn't reaponse but I opened the site and search for the subtitles that I need and it's there

Same here. I truly wish there was a fix for this.

I found if I use the old cloudstream (not beta) it works on my Android TV Box. I hope they fix it in beta version.
