Pause+Play button from the TV remote (Nvidia Shield) doesn't pause the video when player controls are not visible

Steps to reproduce

1. Play any movie / episode
2. Wait for player controls to disappear
3. Press pause+play button on TV remote

Expected behavior

The video that's being played, pauses

Actual behavior

Short video stutter, but doesn't pause
