Perceptually, there's an obvious moment each pixel-cycle when you get to the next pixel.

There's nothing wrong with the code - the issue is that perceptually, bright lights wash out the dimmer lights that you're fading to, so the very late and very early part of the pixel cycle appear to have no movement.

I added a transform to the pixel cycle but need to tweak the transform code somewhat.
