Transparent Background

Maybe I am just dumb and I am unable to figure out how to make the background show up as transparent on the map, but when I select all the settings I want, and set the background as off, the maps background is transparent. However when I select every block or the blocks that I want for the image it sets the background in with blocks. I was wondering if there is a way to make the blocks not get filled in at all or make the blocks that get filled in for the background be glass, because glass over the void makes pixels on the map transparent.

If anyone has any knowledge about this, any help is greatly appreciate
