Question: How to setup Route 53 for API Gateway?

  1. In the CloudFormation template, it uses SRV and TXT DNS records instead of Alias. Is there any reason for that?
  2. Do we still have to manually configure API Gateway Client Certificates and Custom Domain Names for SSL through UI console?
