Consider mirroring repo to Codeberg
Please consider mirroring repos to Codeberg because:
- Codeberg is libre, free, open-source, privacy-friendly, non-profit, really fast
- GitHub has bloated interface with captcha & GitHub is privacy-invasive, Microsoft-owned, proprietary, vendor-lock-in, Tor-hostile
- People on Codeberg like me can contribute to the project
- GitHub can take down our repos
Here are some sources for you written by me: https://codeberg.org/Recommendations/Mirror_to_Codeberg
I'm slowly migrating to a self-hosted Forgejo instance.
I have nothing against Codeberg, I'm a paying member of the organization, but migrating to Codeberg would result in centralization.
I'll update this issue when migration to the self-hosted Forgejo instance is complete :)
How interesting! Thank you!
Hello,
I've migrated Libmedium to https://git.batsense.net/realaravinth/libmedium and updated the description of this repository to indicate that.
I have to make a few changes to the source code before archiving this repository:
- [ ] Update source code link here
- [ ] Update rendering issue ticket here and here
- [ ] Update the humante tech list to point to the new repository
- [ ] Notify public instance maintainers about the migration
I estimate it'll take me a month to do that. I'll update before I archive the repository.
