Error: "Expected a string but was NULL at path $.items[3].author"

I use Readrops synced to Nextcloud. A few days ago it stopped loading new feeds and displays the following error message: Screenshot_20220617-224550_Readrops

I'm using Readrops 1.3.1 Nextcloud 24.0.1 News 18.1.0

The News app changelog mentions clients needing to handle null authors. https://github.com/nextcloud/news/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md#1810---2022-06-10

Any suggestions or workarounds?

I get the same issue. Nothing appears in the feed, so it renders the app unusable. Willing to provide any logs/information to help identify and resolve the issue.

I ran on this issue a few times with my personal account. The same error can be thrown by multiple issues when parsing content from Nextcloud or FreshRSS APIs, which lead to an empty timeline. As a workaround, you can try to force refreshing the timeline, you should be able to get at least new items. I'll try to fix this for the 2.0 release.
