Tappable window zones interfere with Tap to Play behavior
It seems like tapping the left/right window margins scrolls the content up/down, and tapping in the center toggles the settings menu. This interferes with Tap to Play behaviour, such that a scroll is triggered instead of selecting a segment to play.

I agree, it is tricky, because tap-to-play is captured by the text box object, and usually a tap near the margin will end triggering the "margin tap zone" instead.
(BTW, you can disable the tap zones/actions in the app settings.)
This and other UI/UX issues would require specific work by a UI/UX specialist (or, at least, someone with a better JS command than me). Given the current status of the project, which I would define "on life support", I doubt this issue will be dealt with soon.
If you are need/want/are able to fix this sort of things yourself, the source code is available in the Minstrel repository: https://github.com/readbeyond/minstrel
I understand. Didn't realize the tap zones could be disabled. Thanks!
