How to support any of the audio format flac/mp3/mpeg/ogg/wav/basic etc?

I need feed the recorded file into https://cloud.ibm.com/apidocs/speech-to-text/speech-to-text#recognize-audio , which does not take either aac or mp4. How do connect the two, please?

I'd love to see FLAC supported - or at least SOME cross-platform royalty-free encoding (LPCM/WAV, FLAC, OPUS, etc). Without this, it is very difficult to use this library for anything beyond basic sound recording and playback.
