rClr install problem on Mac, R 3.4.3

Hi I am encountering issues when I try to install rClr. I tried to follow the instruction installing from install_github. Encounter error.

ERROR: configuration failed for package ‘rClr’

• removing ‘/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/3.4/Resources/library/rClr’ Error in i.p(...) : (converted from warning) installation of package ‘/var/folders/8l/h9bywsm9513d85x59fp4fqfw0000gn/T//Rtmp1ok7Xo/file2aa5746403ae/rClr_0.8.tar.gz’ had non-zero exit status

I dont have a software development experience. Anyone mind helping out here?

I have similar problems when trying to install via devtools. error: mono-2 not found after which the configuration fails and we get a non-zero status exit. Installing mono framework does not change anything.

I'm seeing this as well. It isn't detecting the mono framework. @OGuggenbuehl Did you find any solution?

I think the way forward would be to switch it to use .Net Core.
