"speak" option in Latin-English is incomprehensible

In the LA-EN dictionary, when you long press to get the menu and choose "speak right side" (Latin side) the pronunciation sounds garbled. I suspect it is probably just playing at too fast a speed. Can this be fixed?

Unfortunately the app isn't really involved, this is all on the text-to-speech provider in Android. And I think the problem is simply that text-to-speech support for latin does not exist. I have no explanation why it fails in such a strange way though.
