Using blind controller with curtains

Not a bug report, just trying to get my head around the concept of the sun azumith and how it relates to using curtains? I can see the node is super powerful, but getting my head around it has taken a few attempts now. The growing wiki is helpful, but I still can't find mention of curtains anywhere.

How can I program a blind node so that it behaves with logic of side opening curtains? My current test node thinks it's opening up/down not split in the middle and opening to either side.

Expected behavior I would like the curtain to open/close according to the time of the year mode, but not open incrementally relative to the azumith.
