question on detailed data use rights specific for each person (having access to the data) and each data set

Rationale / Begründung

The persons having access to datasets in a project may have specific data use rights, i.e. specific privilleges regarding how the may use the data and/or share them with others. I request for a way to specify objects/questions in RDMO which prompt a clear specification of these data use rights. This may help to avoid misunderstandings and disappointments among colleagues working in the project.

Affected

Who is affected by the change (Users, Managers, Admins)? users/projectPIs/DMPcreators would find questions on this topic and would be triggered to clarify and specify data use rights for all involved persons. The specified use rights can serve as reference for everyone working with the data on what is and what isn't permitted. managers can generate question sets containing use rights options suitable to the project context.

Minimal functionality

is already possible now: generate a list of all persons getting access to any of the datasets in the project. A tab for each of these persons (person tab) will be generated (in the questionset "RDM in the project" ) and this tab contains a text field where use rights for each dataset in the project can be specified. The text in the text field contains separate information on the person's use rights for each specific data set.

What functionality would you like to have?

A list of all datasets in the project (dataset list) is created also containing some additional information on that data set (this core feature is already implemented in existing catalogues) not yet possible now: that the person-tab described above contains not a single text field but will instead allow to choose datasets from the dataset list and then a text field will open for each dataset. In these text fields one can describe the use rights the respective person has on this dataset.

Nice-to-have functionality

What sort of related functionality would you like to see in addition? A preferable alternative to such text field solution will be a list of use rights options to choose from (e.g. "only use for project specific research", "use also for other research", "share with project partners", ..., plus a "other"-text field)
