Tests have brought forward a weird "too many redirects" issue that needs further investigation, putting this PR on hold for now

The test failure seem to be transient and I cannot reproduce it anymore 😅

I made service status messages more explicit and fixed the integration test. Could you take a new look at it @KaanSK ?
