Bad Scissors (and expired Discord Link)

On the topic of bad scissors, you say that EX feels bad, but MP feels good on QWERTY, and we have a theory as to why.

We'd drop this in the discord but the invite link seems to have expired (so consider this also an issue for that).

Our suggestion for categorisation would be not to think of the way the hand curves but rather think of the angle between the wrist and the hand. Imagining the resting position on QWERTY, fingers are on the home row, and your left wrist points roughly at F5 while your right wrist points roughly at F4. Scissors feels good when they involve minimal rotation of the wrist from this resting position. Scissors feel okay if they involve rotation of the wrist towards the horizontal (so left hand rotating towards F8 and right hand rotating towards F1). Finally scissors feel awful if they involve rotating the wrist towards the vertical (so left hand towards F2 and and right hand towards F7).

This is why QWERTY MP and EV feel good, CR feels acceptable, and EX feels vile. MP and EV require very little wrist rotation, while EX requires bringing your wrist to an almost vertical. That's our theory anyway.
