Steps to reproduce
Hi, just as you have highlighted that the version 0.7.5.0 is still in beta it redirects everything correctly but if I open the edge browser and after using it I try to close it doesn't close because it reopens immediately afterwards and it is impossible to close it permanently, so you need to turn off the PC or restart it without opening edge which in this case obviously remains closed, so I had to reinstall version 0.7.4.0 which works fine instead.

Definitely will look into this and get this patched. In the meantime, running taskkill /f /im msedge.exe should workaround this issue

Seems to stay closed after you close it a couple times. 🤔
Also Bing Chat never redirects to Chrome now, where it would be nice if it generally would still redirect (except for when required for Copilot functionally).
Wanted to add that edge will just randomly open on my end then give me this same issue listed here. Most recent version with copilot disabled.
I have the same issue - but in a slightly different situation that may give more insight into the cause.
My Edge is set up to open multiple URLs whenever I load it intentionally (to earn Microsoft Rewards points with little effort).
Whenever I try to close Edge with 0.7.5.0 installed - it reopens every time.
With 0.7.3.0 installed (and the exact same settings) - it closes without issue.
I've reverted back to 0.7.3.0 for the time being.
another thing, I had downgraded to version 0.7.4.0 and trying to click on a link in an email the browser opened but on the page that was already there, in the end I uninstalled the extension completely and went back to the origins , it was the best solution and everything started working again, bye

Bing Chat button still opens in Edge where it could still likely be redirected to Chrome, but Copilot and the Edge window reopening issue seem resolved.

same problem here, using the latest stable build. I have to kill edge from task manager to keep it from reopening.

The problem happens for me too - you need to select "Close Edge" from the Edge Menu.
This issue seems to have returned. Not noticed any recent updates that might explain it.
