Subject: Create WeChat Official Account, RChain’s information sharing and interactive platform on the Chinese mobile terminals
WeChat is China’s most popular social media app. By the end of December of 2017, WeChat had 980 million active users in China and around the world. WeChat Official Account is a self-media microblog targeting WeChat’s large users, capable of delivering information to a huge audience within seconds. This platform could be very useful for RChain’s rapid promotions.
The operation of the RChain WeChat Official Account needs both programmers and public relation experts to work together, and it is an ongoing effort.
At present, we have partnered with RChain’s China website and the largest RChain QQ group in China to realize information interconnection and promote RChain together.
1. The work that has already been completed and the work that needs to be done in follow up: 1.1 Complete the registration application of the WeChat official account. (already completed)
1.2 Complete the content column and menu development of the WeChat official account (completed)
1.2.1 Subject columns cover three parts (latest developments, knowledge base, community)
1.2.2 The "latest developments" are divided into three modules: project progress, community activities, news trends
Project progress: Update the latest progress of the RChain project, and review the previous progress.
Community activities: Complete app functions for activities notification, registration, voting, and activity reports for the Chinese community.
News trends: look at the latest news trends of RChain.
1.2.3 "knowledge base" is divided into three modules: project introduction, technical documentation, white paper
Project introduction: a brief introduction to RChain. Technical documentation: save and view the technical documentation for RChain. White paper: access to a white paper for the RChain project.
1.2.4 "join the community" is divided into two modules: QQ group, Chinese Website
QQ group: connect to China's largest RChain QQ group
Chinese website: connect to RChain’s Chinese community website.
1.3 needs to be developed in the background template of the RChain official account. (unfinished) 1.4 we need to classify, typeset, translate and publish articles regarding RChain. (unfinished) 1.5 Some images for the RChain official account will require design support. (unfinished) 1.6 create connections between RChain official account, QQ group, and Chinese website. (unfinished) 1.7 follow-up needs to program some background functions of the RChain official account. (unfinished)

Dup with #258 . I heard from @sportshark in #258 that this WeChat public channel account is run free of charge, but in this issue it proposes a budget. Considering the time it creates and the action of these guys, i really doubt the motivation of this public channel.I keep the opinion that RChain should have only one official WeChat public account, and i suggest you @hcl3 can build an unofficial public account for only investors of RChain, which just sharing some unofficial information, like comments of trends, the articles about the future of blockchain3.0, and something like this. I believe this kind of WeChat public account will be welcomed by the fans.
@yyh1102 Your suggestion is very good, WeChat Official Account does not need money, our funds mainly for public information through the WeChat Official Account RChain, and 1.3-1.7 involves some costs.

I've added 31 articles in RChain，And I forward the article to the WeChat group and QQ group, so that more people understand RChain's information。
@hcl3 You have said that this WeChat Official Account is for free. I think you guys should keep to what you say. @lapin7 this issue looks like the #258.
@yuhuanmocmoc Application for the WeChat Official Account is obviously free. However, construction is costly, and the operation of WeChat Official Account is a long-term process. WeChat Official Account already has hundreds of users, and in the future will become more.We have already upload many articles, each article will be reviewed and typeset before uploading,which takes much time. We will work harder to run WeChat Official Account and hope Rchain can get better development in China.

So that's what @sportshark said "running free of charge"? Application is free for sure, the cost obviously comes from the operation, which is the same as most kinds of social communities.
Can you tell my why you guys create a new WeChat Official Account after #258 has been created and an elder WeChat Official Account has been built? I'really doubt the motivation of you guys.

@yyh1102 @yuhuanmocmoc This WeChat Official Account is not mine. Because I didn't see him applying for a reward, so I said those words. Maybe some misleading, I apologize. First of all, I think the more communication channels are established, the more conducive to the publicity of the RChain community. Second, I subscribe to the two WeChat Official Accounts （yours and this one）, and this WeChat Official Account has updated 13 articles. I think that anyone who has made a contribution to the RChain community is eligible to apply for a reward. Finally, I think it should be decided by a community vote, not by someone, to judge whether the job is worth doing.

Do we need to keep these "social media management" issues open constantly? Can we find a way to close issues, and potentially set new goals/targets for new issues when we grow certain communities?
As a marketing guide I'm not sure how to treat these issues, since there's no activity for a long time already.

In order to facilitate the viewing of Chinese citizens, we put Rchain’s YouTube videos onto local video streaming site www.qq.com. (Because China has restrictions on YouTube). We also uploaded videos and related reports about Rchain’ China events. With our dedication and hard work, more people have now recognized and shown interest to the Rchina subscription account. The number of subscription has now reached nearly 1,000.
Unfortunately, we were lagging behind with content update on WeChat public platform since June. However We are determined to add more and enrich content in short time. I hope you can re-open issue277.

Hey @hcl3, that's great progress, and thanks for writing such a good overview of the results that have been achieved. You guys are doing an absolutely amazing job managing the Chinese part of the community there!
I closed the issue, because it seemed to me that the goal (as outlined in the task description) has been achieved. I have reopened it now (next time, feel free to reopen yourself), and I'd like to invite you to update the task description, and update the goal to reflect the current state of affairs.
A good goal could be to maintain the existing community, or to grow it to X amount of members, or whatever you think a good goal is. If you need help with that, or if it is unclear, then please let us know!
