"industrial extensibility"? (abstract)

Open dckc opened this issue 6 years ago • 4 comments

@JoshyOrndorff writes October 27 12:16 AM:

Last sentence in the abstract "The platform includes a modular, end-to-end design that commits to correct-by-construction software and industrial extensibility." <- What is industrial extensibility?

Good question.

Industrial extensibility is not a good phrase here. Two concepts I think I (or possibly Joe Denman) was trying to convey: 1) "fit for use" and can operate at industrial scale; and 2) applicable in both decentralized and enterprise-connected applications. Feel free to reword as you see fit.

"industrial scalability" would clearly address 1)

It would hint at 2) as well.

I'll stand by a bit for more brainstorming.

The platform's modular, end-to-end design allows for scalability and lends it to both fully-decentralized and enterprise-connected applications.

That's good, but it loses "correct by construction". I would check with @leithaus before losing that from the abstract. (But see also #30)
