Applet for Windows 11

On Windows 10 and below one can embed the status window of Workrave on a task bar as explained here. On Windows 11 it isn't possible anymore. One is left with a floating status window, which gets into way during normal work. Would it be possible to implement timer progress on a progressbar underneath the Workrave icon on a taskbar, like shown below?

Or maybe write a Widows widget as shown here?
