Make Configurable Intrusivity of popups

Describe the bug

I am working on my tasks and a "popup" requesting me to make a pause appears on the middle of the screen. It is very intrusive, aggressive and fastly irritate me. A less intrusive, progressive way with possibility to postpone should be implemented (begin with a small postponable info in a corner, that grows to the screen after x seconds for example).

Work and a big message will appears on your screen !

I too would like an alternative mechanism that would be less intrusive. The pop-up appears suddenly and disrupt my work flow. Some gradual transition might be beneficial. It would still communicate that the break is nearing, which allows me time bring my work to a safe(-ish) state.

My own (limited) reflections on the topic has lead me toward a full screen effect such as "opacity filter" or "blend toward a color" that would progress as the time limit approach that would go from "gently noticeable" to "somewhat hard to ignore". Hopefully, this idea will inspire a proper solution.
