[Question] Why was usbmount removed from Ubuntu after 20.04 ?

Ubuntu 20.04 LTS makes usbmount available through their official repositories (see usbmount package on focal. However, from that point onward Ubuntu ceased to distribute usbmount. Does anyone know what happened?
