Getting redirected to ad websites on click of buttons/elements

Even though AdBlock is on. This happens when trying to download (HLS playlist) videos particularly from ad-based websites. 9anime.to specifically if you wish to test it out. This doesn't happen on 1DM's internal browser, which seems visually identical (maybe two different forks of the same thing?). 1DM seems to have a better way of blocking ads.
