Continuous check for updates that can't be disabled

On android 4.3 every time the phone accesses internet, Mimanganu checks for manga updates. That means that if I have 100 favorite mangas I'll have 100 hundred notifications saying "searching for updates " and they will stay stuck in progress in the notification bar. Changing options in the settings cannot prevent this.

It would be better to have the app only checking for updates when it's opened, not when the phone starts up.. Gracias!
