Short application names

Hello

Can you make an option to choose short application names? Currently the launcher takes the FullName from the .desktop files, instead of Name. This leads to most applications having dots (...) in the name, not to mention that the long names make it look bad and harder to find an app (unless you know the icon already and look for it that way)
