sound recording, replay is double the speed

Open heppg opened this issue 9 years ago • 1 comments

When recording sound and then replay this, the speed seems double and hence frequency is much higher. Exporting the sound gives a wav file which is fine, normal playback. With aplay, the parameters are reported as Playing WAVE 'recording1.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 22050 Hz, Mono

When importing this file back into scratch, the speed is fine.

We've had a lot of discussion internally about this kind of problem and it's really a problem with usb drivers reacting with assorted applications; for example my Griffin iMac works perfectly well but my SupTronics X300 with C_Media sound chip does the Helium thing.
