remote data output is difficult to understand

ghp pointed out in a blog post (http://heppg.de/ikg/wordpress/?p=289) how it is really tricky to make much sense of how variable & sensor value output is organised. It ought to be possible to make a decent explanation that kids can follow, maybe even provided some ways to make it actually simpler. This might cost time when repeatedly sending the same value but if it means being able to use it with less twisty-minded people it may be worthwhile.

Initial checking on this -

1. value updates are only sent when they change. 'change' is a) when created b) when deleted c) when the value held is changed
2. value updates are sent in alphabetical order of their name. It impossible this could be a problem with some alphabets.
3. re-broadcast values follow 'owned' value updates
