no interface shows up with a mt76x2u driver managing a wifi card

Describe the bug

with a Netgear A6210 usb wifi card, no interface is showing up on rpi3b or rpi2 with 6.6.10 (or 6.6.11) on archlinuxARM (32 bit)

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

just boot the rpi with the usb card, plugged in, or plug it in, when the rpi is booted

You can check that the module has been loaded with lsmod, but no interface shows up in ip link or iw list
