vcdbg log msg reports "Failed to allocate -201253077 bytes for message buffer"

When trying to use the command vcdbg log msg on the latest bullseye release running on my raspberry pi 3b+ it just outputs Failed to allocate -201253077 bytes for message buffer I am not sure if this is an issue in the command or in the firmware, I would assume in the command itself but I am not sure so maybe this issue needs to be moved.
