NTP/DNS issue

On starting up a 64-bit OS, it seems that the DNS resolve is not working before ntp tries to access the ntp servers.

It takes quite a while for it to resolve ( ~15 minutes more or less), breaking down many applications.

A workaround is to set the date/time manually.

There was such an issue on the original debian quite a few months ago but that was fixed, if at all useful.

Are you connecting via wireless or ethernet? Static IP or DHCP? Any other relevant info you can provide would be helpful.

When you say "original debian" do you mean the upstream Debian project, or the 32-bit Raspberry Pi OS? Do you have a link to any relevant bug reports?
