Garage door status issue?

Sorry if this is a newbie thing, but Homebridge Dummy Garage Door shows my garage door as being open when it is closed and closed when it is open. So when I come hone the CarPlay brings up the button but I need to hit it twice to open the garage door. What am I doing wrong, otherwise it is great! Thanks for your work.
