Navigation dock/bar
It expands even for two items. Doesn't match the behavior in the screenshots.
What device are you using? I took the screenshots on a bigger model.
I have an 14 Pro Max
Just to clarify, what do you mean by expand?
While at it the play bar above the always expanded dock is always empty when starting the app. This should show the last played item or "Not Playing". Hope this helps.
What iOS version are you using? It bugged out after I updated my device to 26.1 Beta 4. It looks like the knop heads at Apple changed the behavior. The bar above is also visible because of an SDK change that makes using it a lot harder...
26.1 b4 One more thing... when I removed the Library from the dock (menu bar) I lost access to Settings. Needed to re-install.
You can still access them from the offline mode ^^

Now with the RC released i think this guy might have a point…
I am not really sure on how to handle this, either the bottom bar stays there always visible (either some placeholder i guess) or the navigation resets each time playback starts.
Thank you for the info! They just replicate the liquid glass playback bar, which is not an approach i like, i have decided to remove the continue playback alert an just show it in the bottom bar when no playback is active. But I sadly haven’t found the time to implementing the yet…
It also looks like the official Apple Books app did something similar to BookPlayer, although I have no way of confirming that. Seems a bit off to me.
I don't really understand what the end goal is here, but it seems like in the Xcode 26.2 Beta developers get an isEnabled parameter to hide the bar: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/803428?answerId=864262022#864262022
This seems backwards compatible with iOS 26.1
Released in v3.1.3
