Download not working when sideloaded

Hello, I am trying various apps before making purchase on the App Store. I just want to confirm if Downloads not working while sideloaded is a bug or is not meant to be supported. Ty!

I used the ipa from releases page. All the other features work, but nothing downloads.

I have similar issue so at least it’s not only me ;) My version is from Apple Store

Are you able to stream the audiobook, and what codec is it in?

Yes streaming works. Tried it on both M4B and MP3 format. Downloading does not work.

Does it work in version 3.0.0?
