No tracks indicated within albums after update of Jellyfin
Hi,
After updating Jellyfin to 10.11.x, there are no tracks indicated in my AmpFin any more. Once connected to a Jellyfin 10.10.7 again, tracks are shown.
Does anyone have the same issue? This behaviour is reported for other apps (https://github.com/jmshrv/finamp/issues/1412), but I did not find the problem described here.
Regards Fabian
Having the same issue here, makes the app unusable.
Looking over the commit log it seems the project is abandoned. So glad I paid for the App Store version.
Hey,
I sadly have a lot less time on my hands compared to when i started this project. And most of it is taken up by ShelfPlayer for a few reasons, including that it has considerably more users.
I actually wanted to remove AmpFin from the AppStore some time ago, but some users wanted to keep it: #101
But i think now is a good time to do it again. I will also look into fixing the bug on the weekend, let’s see how much work it is.
While you cannot find it on GitHub i would recommend you check out https://discrete.app/
Thank you for the clear communication and the recommendation of alternative software. Frankly speaking, I have a bit of a problem with software offered by a person who seems to be russian while having no further information about this person.
Noticed a quirk of this problem: It seems that it only happens to albums that were added to a library before the Jellyfin 10.11 update. I added a new album to my library and Ampfin is able to display all of its tracks correctly, but any album that was added before upgrading to Jellyfin 10.11 displays zero tracks.
It's possible this is a bug in Jellyfin's database migration, since it was overhauled with 10.11, and not an issue with Ampfin necessarily. Possible workaround could be fully recreating your music library in Jellyfin, but that's really annoying.
After skimming through some issues it looks like you have to run a library metadata scan after updating, then the issue should be resolved: https://jellyfin.org/posts/jellyfin-release-10.11.0 (TLDR bullet point 6) & https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues/14900

Can confirm that doing a "Search for missing metadata" scan does address this issue inside Ampfin.
As an aside, I was able to try DIscrete as recommended and can report that it is very good.
